The Late Pastor Verel Montauban

Rev. Verel Montauban, is the founder and senior pastor of the First Haitian Church of the Brethren at 1781 Flatbush Avenue Brooklyn, New York. www.fraternityministries.org. It all started in 1991, through preaching, teaching, and traveling to different counties. During Rev. Verel Montauban missionary trips he planted churches, schools, also orphanages, in both the Dominican Republic as well as Haiti. Since his arrival in the United States Rev. Verel Montauban has encountered many American leaders from both a religious and governmental position who have embraced his vision. In 2010 he launched and founded the Haitian Family Resource Center (HFRC) a community center after the earthquake in Haiti. This establishment served as a helping force to assist more than 4,500 families of the great earthquake disaster that took place in Haiti. Not restricted, he has expanded these services in a holistic manner spiritually, socially, and economically with immigration services, food stamps, Medicaid, computer & ESL classes, Family counseling, and referrals. Pastor Montauban is also the founder of an organization called International Confederation of Multicultural Evangelical Churches (ICMEC) that partners with other church leaders to bring unity amongst leaders internationally such as Dominican Republic and Haiti. He is a devoted man of God, husband, father, and pastor. As president of HFRC and pastor of HFCOB, I am pleased to celebrate our church’s 24th anniversary. Every year as we celebrate, we reflect back on the accomplishments we have instilled in our community and in the lives of the people in Brooklyn also abroad. I continue to be grateful to the many people whom I meet and the different ways that I can help them when all hope is lost. As a leader in the community my focal point is to help change lives for the better. Gospel Festival 2015 1781 Flatbush Avenue • Brooklyn, New York 11210 SUNDAY, AUGUST 9, 2015
